In the heart of a residential and historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, Ottawa Capital Hill Hotel and Suites stands close to the centers of government, the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Senate office buildings and the National Mall's museums and monuments. Perfecting for relaxing and contemplating, three of Washington's "vest-pocket" parks - Folger, Garfield and Seward Square - are four-block strolls from the downtown Ottawa. Travelers are just four miles from Reagan National Airport and 33 miles from Dulles and Baltimore-Washington international airports.

My family and I stayed at the Capital Hill Hotel Suite Ottawa while we were in Ottawa for the National Capital Marathon. Since all the city's hotels sell out that weekend I had reserved 2 suites months in advance (we had two families coming to Ottawa). Three days before we were booked to arrive the hotel called to tell me that they could not provide us with the suites we had booked because they had overbooked (something to do with a computer glitch) and that we would have to stay in two standard rooms instead. I was quite annoyed at first since I had specifically chosen Capital Hill for the suites, however after a couple conversations with employees of the hotel they agreed to provide us with a third standard room for no extra charge. This was a very satisfactory result for us, and aside from these initial difficulties we found the hotel quite enjoyable. Capital Hill Hotel Suite Ottawa is not particularly fancy, but it is clean and the rooms are fairly spacious, and it is quite reasonably priced. The location is excellent, and the staff was helpful. I would go back there again next time I go to Ottawa.

My friends and I recently stayed at the Capital Hill Hotel Suite Ottawa and thoroughly enjoyed it. We made the mistake of assuming they had a stove or oven in their kitchenettes and brought steaks for dinner. Upon hearing the bad news, the receptionist made a call and had our steaks cooked by the chef who also added vegetables to complete the meal. This just goes to show that they went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The Capital Hill Hotel Suite Ottawa room also surprised us. It was very big and very comfortable. I would suggest this hotel to anyone searching for a place in the heart of Ottawa that is not looking to pay an arm and a leg.
