Except for sleeping and bathing, we did not plan on spending any appreciable time in our room. Travelodge more than met our needs. The Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago staff was courteous and informative; the room was clean enough (one small spill stain and mold on bathroom window curtain - who cares?), and the bed was good. The location was terrific, with foot access to all of downtown Chicago. We will certainly go back Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago. Reviewer: A my-discount-hotels.com user, Orlando, FL, USA We stayed here in September 2006, and have to say that as far as basic accommodation goes, this wasn't at all bad. Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago has a good location, only 10 mins walk from the magnificent mile. Our room was very spacious with a double bed each, a small kitchen area, and spacious bathroom. The room was also very clean. The reception staff were friendly, and helped us with all our queries. There is also a nice Chinese/Japanese restaurant ajoining the premises. Date:28 July 2007 Title:Clean, Great Location Reviewer: A my-discount-hotels.com user, Little Rock, Arkansas Recently stayed at the Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago Courtyard Downtown, 30 Hubbard and had a wonderful visit. Of course, the greeting upon check-in typically sets the tone for a guest's stay. My experience with Brian, guest service agent, was a very pleasant one. In today's all-too-frequent "next customer" mentality and the all-too-prevalent impersonal service, Brian's customer service approach definitely helps to set this hotel in a league all its own with the personal touch. We stay here regularly on weekenders to the City and love it every time.While the other Courtyard Downtown is newer, this Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago is loaded with amenities. The rooms are pretty much the standard-issue Courtyard rooms, but on the (sixth?) floor, there is a lap pool, jacuzzi and outdoor terrace complete with two Weber Grills! There's a grocery store around the corner, so we have midday cookouts on the rooftop between seeing the sights. The Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago restaurant tends to be a little too expensive (high prices/average quality=poor value) for our tastes, especially considering that there are COUNTLESS restaurants within a block of the hotel offering a much better value. No complaints with this hotel.Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago is in a pretty good location (only a few blocks from Michigan Ave). Navy Pier is about a half-mile away. Walkable. But a free trolley will pick you up on Illinois and take you there. Breakfast was a little pricey ($15 for buffet). But it IS downtown Chicago. So that wasn't entirely unexpected. Staff was very courteous. Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago Room was clean and comfortable. Room size was average. Lots of restaurants within a 3 block radius. Free hi-speed internet access available in the room. I did hear some street noise. But it wasn't enough to keep me awake. I didn't check out the pool. Got a rate of $103/night off at this website. We had a queen room, kind of small - but well kept and clean. Free high speed internet was a bonus - just make sure to bring a cat 5 cable, as I thought it would be wireless - so had to rent one for $2 per day from the front desk - no big deal. Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago Weber Grill breakfast buffet was so-so, (tried it after seeing it recommened in other reviews on tripadvisor) - it's better when you make them make stuff fresh from the grill - then it was worth it. Make sure to park in the lot just N of the Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago hotel (big green Parking sign) - $16/night and then $10 after that. It was great - easy location to both the CTA buses and the L. Anyway - to sum it all up - I would stay here again, no doubt, and this was our first time to Chicago as well - so no jaded review here about it not being a 5 star hotel - just needed a good place to stay and this did it. Date:20 July 2007 Title:Very Convenient Location Reviewer: A my-discount-hotels.com user, Detroit , Michigan My boyfriend and I opted to stay at this Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago for a recent weekend trip to see the Chicago Bears. This hotel is Excellent. This is the kind of hotel you can stay at and park your car easilly in the parking garage right next door and then wander on foot towards Michigan Ave and bask in shops and sites readilly available. The Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago location was the best part, we had our car when we needed it, plenty of walkable sights to get to, and plenty of taxis to catch right outside the lobby.
The rooms themselves were very nice too.Although small, it was perfect, be aware there is not much of a view from this hotel, we were on the 15th floor and overlooked brick windows, but it didn't matter to us, we were there to enjoy the city. The Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet, the lighting and decor was contemporary and beautiful. One minor problem was the shower the first day had very little water pressure and little hot water, I thought we would just have to deal with it, but by the next day the water pressure was up and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast was perfect too, extremely nice decor there and wide selection. We would definately stay here again. Reviewer: A my-discount-hotels.com user, Key West, FL , USA My granddaughter and I just returned from a 4-day trip to Chicago and we stayed at the Cheap Hotel Rooms In Downtown Chicago - Fairfield Inn and Suites on Ontario and I only have good things to say about this hotel. The staff especially was very friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome. The only thing I would suggest (if you don't already do this) is when you're in your room always make sure the night security lock is locked.
A maintenance man knocked on our door one afternoon and without waiting to see if anyone answered he proceeded to try to enter the room using his master key. Housekeeping also did this once. I always use the night lock when in a room but it could've been an embarassing situation. They are located 2 blocks off Michigan Ave. and there are lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance and if you need a cab a doorman is always on duty to help you.
