This Omni Hotel Chicago is located in Chicago's Gold Coast section, which is a pretty ritzy part of town. The Omni Ambassador East is actually on a side street, which is filled with lovely townhomes. This is a good thing, as the street is quiet and pretty.

This Omni Hotel Chicago is a nice hotel - it's clean, the rooms are well appointed, the service is friendly. It's definitely nicer than some other hotels, but is is not that expensive hotel.

The atmosphere of this Omni Hotel Chicago is very much that of the old fashioned hotel that it is. The rooms are well appointed. There is a nice lounge area in the lobby. There is a small workout room, consisting of a few cardio machines, and a few weight machines and free weights.

The Pump Room restaurant is probably the hotel's claim to fame. It is a historical Chicago restaurant and it is located in the lobby of Omni Hotel Chicago. It serves French - Continental food at exorbitant prices. This Omni Hotel Chicago also offers valet parking, which is essential in that neighboorhood.

The service at the Omni Ambassador East is excellent. Everyone is very friendly and very helpful. One great service is the second wake up call. When asking for a wake-up call, the operator asked if you would like a second one 15 minutes later. What a great thing! It's like having a snooze button on the wake-up service.....
