The Crowne Plaza Hotel Guadalajara is an excellent hotel for business and leisure guest**JUST RENOVATED**. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, we are the best hotel for meetings and convention groups.

Although my time was short it was well worth it I enjoyed staying at the hotel. I would have liked more television choices because I was staying with a baby so the night life was not part of the agenda. I would have preferred to be able to lock the liquor cabinet. My two year old thought it was a game to take out the small bottles. It was pretty clean. Some things needed attention. I enjoyed the time there and will be back at least once by December preferably two times.

The Crowne Plaza Guadalajara Hotel is located just 5 minutes from the Expo Guadalajara and World Trade Center, one block from the shopping mall ( Plaza Del Sol ) and Kodak. We are from, 30 minutes away from the International Airport of Guadalajara and 50 minutes from Tequila Cuervo World We are located to 15 minutes from IBM, Flextronics, Hewlett Packard, INTEL and Siemens VDO.

Crowne Plaza Guadalajara Mexico Crowne Plaza Hotel is an old building that need to be renewed, the furniture, the bathrooms, the elevators are old and you won't feel like if you were in a hotel of this category. But the price hasn't a reduction for this issue. The hotel is conveniently located infront of Plaza del Sol shopping mall and 5 minutes by car to the Convention Center of Guadalajara. What I can recommend you is to try a nice dinning in the restaurant Jacarandas, the dishes are delicious, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of Guadalajara.

The front desk, bell hops, restaurant maitre'd all spoke more than enough english to communicate. Plus they were patient and gracious with me practicing spanish. They never grew tired of assisting us with touring plans, and we must have asked directions from them 5 times a day! The hotel restaurant had good food at very affordable prices, and again the kindest, warmest waiters. And importantly, the place was clean and secure. We felt very safe. The pool was also clean, warm and beautifully landscaped. Overall, the perfect place for us head out from each morning to the more interesting places, historic center, marketplaces, family run restaurants, and the country side. At the end of the day, secure, comfortable place to sleep that felt familiar.

Their pool is beautifully shaped and fairly clean.There are palm trees everywhere, and there is a restaurant in the main building that features some American-type foods alongside the Mexican dishes. The restaurant is beautiful and it serves the absolute BEST lemonade. Room service was fine, and we never had any problem with theft during our stay. All-in-all, the hotel is fairly clean and well maintained.

The tower rooms are quieter than the mannor rooms, but are in need of some basic renovation - they are a little rough around the edges. Yes, the beds are hard - but every bed I have ever seen in Mexico is hard. A/C and showers work well in the rooms.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for several days on business and was very happy with my stay. The staff was helpful and very friendly. My room was large and very nice (the bed was fine) and the grounds are lush and well kept. I really enjoyed the pool since it was rather large and you could actually do some swimming. The onsite restaurants were very good. My one gripe was that they didn't have complimentary internet access (they have wireless access in the rooms, but you have to pay for it). The hotel was in a nice central location and I would definitely stay there again.

There is a lobby bar where you will always find other Americans. By my experience, all front desk, resteraunt and bar staff speak English. Service is good - I have not experienced some of the problems noted in other reviews. Resteraunt is very nice and the prices are reasonable. I choose this hotel over the Intercontinental because it is usually about 1/2 the price and I don't need waterfalls and escalators.
