My stay was great.... The Crowne Plaza Lake Placid Resort Golf Club rooms where great we stayed in a king room with a lakeview in the main hotel. Now I have stayed there several times before, however I normally stay in the deluxe Adirondack wing. But decided to take a chance and stay in the old wing as I use to call it. It is far from old now, they just completed renovating the main hotel and the rooms where great. An excellent improvement to there great hotel. The Crowne Plaza Lake Placid Resort Golf Club front desk was helpful as normal they are never to busy to recommend things to do/see. The dinning there is always great you can never go wrong with the boat house. The breakfast although buffet is a great choice every one is so friendly. So that was our trip great room, great views, great serves.

Long time visitor to Lake Placid. I believe this used to be the Holiday Inn. Our stay was outstanding. Yes the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid Resort Golf Club does allow dogs, I understand this is the European way. It is spread out so be prepared to walk, and the walk back from town is steep. It's located perfectly, close to the main drag and the Olympic Arena. Go with the breakfast buffet, $10.95. The restaurant nearby, the Veranda, gave us our best dinner, by the way, the Clintons ate there. One complaint, we were on the second floor and guests on the first floor sat outside their room, smoking and making a racket.

We found the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid Resort Golf Club resort to be even better than before! The Great Room in the lobby of the hotel is just beautiful and affords breathtaking views of Mirror Lake. The rooms are fine and we appreciated the updated amenities.I recommend getting a lake-view room. It is worth the additional charge!

Crowne Plaza Lake Placid Resort Golf Club resort is THE premium hotel in Lake Placid. The location and views of Mirror Lake were beautiful. This hotel has been here for a while, but the upkeep is meticulous. Clean throughout, excellent beds, great service and help from front desk staff and bell man. The Lake Placid free town bus makes a stop at the entrance, otherwise a short walk down to the street and you're right at the Olympic Facility and Main Street. Working Wireless Internet, roomy even on the smaller rooms. Rooms are provided with mini-fridge and microwave. Big sparkling clean bathrooms. Jacuzzi and covered, heated pool. Excellent restaurants.

This Crowne Plaza Lake Placid Resort Golf Club hotel is very well maintained. The gardens are lovely, the front reception rooms clean and most sitting areas around the property receive daily attention. Our experience was most positive. We plan to return in the Fall, when the view, we imagine, will be spectacular.
