The Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa is a very nice hotel. I highly recommend the signature floor. Staff is still very friendly as noted in a previous review, but I noticed that almost everyone in this city is friendly. Taxi's are everywhere in this city and they all know where they're going. I always found at least two ready to go as soon as I stepped outside the hotel doors.
FYI, There is a strip club across the street from this Delta Ottawa Hotel & Suite Ottawa, very convenient for the adventuresome male traveler but possibly a nuisance to others. It is also a long walk from many attractions. (Long walk equals 20+ minutes) This city is really safe, and not much is happening after Midnight on weeknights. The area around the Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa appears to be a ghost town after 6pm. (If there were crickets, you'd hear them!) The best places to eat can be found at the "Byward" Market. The Empire Grill is outstanding, I highly recommend.
Stayed in this Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa in June and had a fab stay. The staff on reception were the most helpful that I have ever met. The bar staff were great to. The signature rooms are well worth staying in. The Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa beds were to die for and the little chocolates every night were bliss. The only negative that I can think of was that the bathrooms were on the small side. I will stay here again and would thoroughly recommend this Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa.
The Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa infrastructure itself is showing its age a bit, but with timely renovations the Delta never quite slips below par. It did prevent me from giving an 'Excellent' rating, however.The Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa staff is the real standout at the Delta Ottawa - they are the best in the city, hands down. I have stayed at almost all the major hotels in downtown Ottawa over the last ten years or so, and the Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa staff consistantly stand out from the others.Well done, Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suite Ottawa. Now if you can just do something with the Delta Halifax - it's as bad as the Delta Ottawa is good, and very puzzling as the Delta Barrington is directly across the street from the Delta Halifax and is up to snuff. Go figure......
