The local chamber of commerce runs a really helpful little visitor center at 31 Chestnut St (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; tel 607/547-9983, ). If you're here June through August, leave the car at one of the free parking lots on the edge of town and take the trolley around the various sights (trolley runs 8am-9pm; $2 all-day pass). Accommodation in the town itself is expensive, but there's a cluster of clean motels right on gorgeous Otsego Lake, a few miles north on Hwy-80; the Lake'N Pines offers superb value. For eating , Clete Boyer's , three miles south on Hwy-28, serves gimmicky but tasty American food.
This Discount Hotel Rooms Cooperstown, The staff was wonderful! The rooms were clean and the hotel was outstanding!We stayed in the main lodge. Our group throughly enjoyed the hotel and staff. We found the hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful. I had read that the steak restaurant next door was not good but our group split up and some folks did eat at the steak restaurant and said it was good but they got so much food that they wished they had split an entree........ This Discount Hotel Rooms Cooperstown, The hotel is about 15 minutes from the Hall of Fame but is a nice drive. The room was huge and nicer than many 4 stars that we had stayed in. The staff were plesant and the breakfast was a great start to the morning. The tv has tons of channels and there is a great work out room. I would not recommend the steak house restaurant that is near by. The food and prices are crap and definitely not worth it. Overall a great experience!...... More info....... Rate Check....... This Discount Hotel Rooms Cooperstown, I stayed there for a couple of days before Christmas and had a great stay. The room and hotel was very clean, the service was great and the housekeeping staff was very cordial and accomodating. I go to the area about four times a year and plan on staying at this hotel from now on.Stayed there last week and service was great. Food in restaurant was outstanding. This Discount Hotel Rooms Cooperstown, Stayed at this motel for 2 nights because the Holiday Inn Express had no rooms available. The lady at the front desk was less than friendly. The room was decent-sized and clean. The housekeeper did an acceptable job. There is no pool, game room, or any other on site diversion for kids. The room was quiet, and the a/c cooled the room effectively. I would stay there again, but it would not be my first choice in Cooperstown........ More info....... Rate Check.......
