At the height of the travel season, rates are high, so try off-season. The service at the Seattle Fairmont Hotel Olympic Seattle (Seattle Four Season Hotel) , its restaurants (I like Shucker's best), and all the shops (especially the Jeremy Todd spa--wow) is the best anywhere. Much more friendly and personal than you might expect. Tremendous concierge staff, too.

The Seattle Fairmont Hotel Olympic Seattle (Seattle Four Season Hotel) pool is incredible! This is by far the nicest hotel in Seattle and it is well worth it.

The service in particular is exceptional. The concierge is excellent, the front desk staff even travell across town on an errand for you, and the porters have milk and cookies waiting in your rental car as you drive to the airport on a very early morning.
