It boasts the first African-American church, the nation's first zoo, first botanical garden, and first stock exchange, just to name a few. In fact, it's a city of endless historical significance. And because it has, in recent years, earned the titles of the safest and friendliest city in America, you'll never have to worry about asking how to get to any one of these firsts. But that is just the starting point for all that Philadelphia travel and tourism has to offer.

From the moment you step into The Lowes Hotel Philadelphia Lowes Hotel, My husband and I stayed for the second time at the Loews Philadelphia hotel. This time our stay was over the 4th of July holiday. Our room was an end room, and it was large, beautiful and very luxurious. We had a fantastic experience and I would pick this hotel again. We did have one small problem -when we tried to check in the lobby was packed and we had to wait in a long line at the reception. Our room was not ready but I could not be upset because the hotel staff went out of their way to be accommodating and friendly.

The Lowes Hotel Philadelphia Lowes Hotel We simply left our luggage with the bell hop and walked to the old City. By the time we returned our room was ready. I felt I had to write this review because we had a perfect stay. We were on the 6th floor and we did not have noise from adjacent rooms nor did we have any problem at all with house keeping. The hotel is near a lot of good small restaurants near Chestnut and since we like to walk, we could walk to the old City.

There is no doubt that The Philadelphia Loews Hotel is The whole hotel has a "hip and modern" yet retro feel. Our room--on the 15th floor was near a fire-stairwell, so I think it may have been bigger than most rooms, it was quite spacious with high ceilings. The desk/dresser was scuffed and scratched, but that's no big deal to me. There was a refrigerator in the room--no minibar though.
