Roosevelt Hotel New York has been restored to its original elegance. There is an old expression "Meet me under the clock at The Roosevelt" and the clock is still there ticking away.

Yes the New York NY Roosevelt Hotel standard rooms are not very big and only have a shower, but are you really visiting New York for the size of a room? The room is always clean. The rooms are nice and the interior finishes such as the carpet, comforter, and bathroom fixtures are new and attractive. The New York Roosevelt Hotel beds are comfy (no back or neck pains) and the comforter is soft and pretty. The standard room is on the small side- the junior suite is just right and the hospitality suite is perfect for entertaining.

"My Home In New York". Roosevelt Hotel New York value for money is excellent, for the price you would be hard pushed to find a hotel in Midtown that offers so much. It was a bonus to have Grand Central across the street. Next time we come to New York, We will most definitely stay New York Roosevelt Hotel. I thought it was just great, especially for the price. This was my 4th visit to NY and the city seemed cleaner and the people nicer. Had a wonderful time.

I agree with the two previous reviewers who suggested not eating at the Deli next door. Roosevelt Hotel New York was a little noisy, but its Midtown Manhattan, what do you expect. My toilet also flooded, and yes I am from the States, so I think the reviewer who claimed it was just the Brits being confused is wrong. There was a school party at the hotel, which meant there was often a very long wait for the elevators, however thats not really a gripe as you can never guarentee who will be staying at a hotel the same time as yourself. Aside from the Door staff I really have no complaints, I am returning to New York this fall and am not hesitating to return to the Roosevelt Hotel New York. Excellent service, very attractive hotel, and a great location.

My husband and I didn't know what to expect after first getting the New York Roosevelt Hotel New York on this website. Staff was friendly and helpful, even though we didn't speak with a British accent. Lobby was truly beautiful and had a huge centerpiece of flowers. If atmosphere matters to you at all, you will appreciate the Roosevelt Hotel New York. Our 15th floor room was clean and quiet, tastefully decorated and big enough. I would suggest going for the higher floors if sound is a concern. Minor sound from the street below, but that's part of the NY experience. View from our room was of a gray office building and not great, but you can't have it all. We walked easily to St. Patrick's Cathedral, Times Square, Rockefeller Center.
