We have a number of different New Zealand Army Uniform that we wear for different occasions, depending upon the nature and location of our duty. When a soldier joins the army he/she is issued with all the equipment that will be needed to conduct basic training, and then for normal duties once initial training is complete. It is the responsibility of the soldier to maintain this equipment in a fit and serviceable state at all times.

When we deploy on overseas missions we are issued further New Zealand Army's Uniform to ensure that we are able to operate effectively and safely in whatever environment we are deployed to, and this includes cold, tropical or desert conditions.

New Army Black Beret with US Army Flash was authorized for wear on the Army's birthday, 14JUN01. It is unlined, pre-shaved, and has a sheepskin sweatband.

New Zealand Army's Uniforms are top of the line. Made from the finest New Zealand wool, they are color fast, moth proof and pre shaped so you don't have to do anything but put it on. The hoods (wool part) are made in New Zealand and the berets are finished in the USA.
