"Gorgeous hotel, with No complaint"
The hotel's restaurant, Citrus, overlooks the Riverwalk and serves contemporary, Spanish-influenced dishes, while Vbar serves drinks and tapas. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all public areas of the hotel. Curbside check-in via wireless hand-held computers lets guests avoid front desk lines. The San Antonio Valencia Hotel Riverwalk has a health club and 2,500 square feet of meeting and event space.
Down-stuffed leather club chairs provide serene sitting areas.
Exceptional architectural elements include ebony-stained hardwood floors in the entry, an arched doorway, and plantation shutters. Live palm trees and leather club chairs offer comfy corner reading spots. White-marble bathrooms with woven-raffia walls and stainless-steel vanity sinks include over-sized bath towels, robes, and designer toiletries.

I had an excellent experience with the San Antonio Valencia Hotel Riverwalk while travelling to San Antonio on Business for 2 nights in June. The staff is helpful, yet not overbearing, the hotel atmosphere is unique, sophisticated, and very cool, and the location is unbeatable.
The San Antonio Valencia Hotel Riverwalk was absolutely gorgeous -- very hip, contemporary, elegant. No huge, overbearing, overdecorated lobby here -- rather the common areas are very low key and tasteful but unique. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. As far as room amenities, nothing was overlooked.
The Mexican restaurant next door, Acenar, was mediocre in my opinion. It's a short, beautiful walk along the river to Boudro's, however, which was terrific.
Will stay here again in a heartbeat next time I'm in town.
