Surrounded by the majestic Pacific Ocean, and Glorietta and San Diego bays, Coronado invites you to visit its beaches and parks. Coronado City Beach has been named one of the Travel Channel's 2003 Top Beaches in the United States. Coronado's beaches also received high marks as a family beach and as a weekend getaway.

Coronado Beach runs the length of Ocean Avenue. Lifeguards are on duty seasonally. Restrooms and shower facilities are available. You will find tidepools to explore and a fishing area to cast a line. There are also fire rings available to use. Food is not sold on the beach so be sure to bring a picnic or snacks before heading out to the beach for the day. Free parking is available on Ocean Boulevard, but fills up quickly, especially during the summer.
